A clear victory for the opposition, which says much for their persuasiveness, since intuition would normally force us to agree with the motion.
Proposition: other factors are more important (like love, family, success, etc), people don’t always choose subjects to study based on what will earn the most money- often they choose out of interest, ultimately health is the most important thing, character is also important. Marslow’s hierarchy of needs- shows that there are many more needs that people have beyond just making ends meet (I was especially impressed with the fact that this was brought in!)
Opposition: living in modern society, money is most important; many make choices in education so they can make most money when they graduate. Success is defined by money. The fact that crime exists at all shows how high people place money as their priority. Financial security is much more important than happiness.

I would say money is important but certainly not the most important thing in life. Without health, you can’t enjoy wealth at all. If so, then what is the use of money in this case. Can money bring back your beloved who has left you for heaven. Certainly not! Money may bring us happiness but not ultimate and permanent happiness.

Money is not the most important thing on the world. Money are just note, paper, or some metallic stuff, how can we buy happiness with the thing as common as money. Money may satisfy our daily need or necessaries, but not our social wants. Wealth people are not always the happiest, when you are rich it is hard to tell who is your real friend. Thus, money can’t buy happiness.

Money is important for fulfilling our physical needs and wants, but money cannot do much to fulfill our emotional and/or spiritual needs.
